Arkansas State Parks are Open for Business

All Arkansas State Parks are open and remain available to visitors under Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. 

The state of Arkansas remains under a mask mandate issued by Governor Asa Hutchinson: https://governor.arkansas.gov/images/uploads/executiveOrders/EO_20-43.pdf  

Face coverings must be worn in all public buildings. Physical distancing from others who do not live in your household is encouraged in all spaces and if you are unable to distance 6-feet, wear a face-covering during that time. 

What is limited:

  • Lodge and park restaurants have dine-in service with limited occupancy. All patrons must wear a face-covering until served.

  • Group Events: Please check with the park directly to coordinate with the park about ADH protocols.

  • Golf Courses: The Ridges at Village Creek at Village Creek State Park and DeGray Lake Resort State Park golf courses are open. The pro shops are open with limited occupancy. Tee times are recommended.

  • Museum Parks: Exhibits and trails are open with limited occupancy.

  • Marinas: Open to limited occupancy and hours for rental equipment and live bait only. Please contact the individual park for marina hours.

  • Park interpretive programming limited to outdoor programming. Check out our Digital Discovery section for online programming.

What is closed:

  • Group Lodging: Lake Fort Smith, Crowley’s Ridge, and Historic Washington state parks.

  • Crater of Diamonds State Park rental equipment is not available.
