Decisions, Decisions!

I’ve been delaying this month’s post until our board was able to come to the decision about the 2020 festival. Several factors led us to the decision to cancel the 2020 festival. The first factor is the current period of uncertainty and economic stress caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. It takes months to plan and raise funds for the festival and we are already far behind schedule. Another factor is inability to predict whether we will still need to practice social-distancing in October. And finally, if the festival was still held, the liability for potential spread of infection is not one we are willing to risk.

Our organization will continue to support local environmental education initiatives and organizations as far as is safely possible. The plan is to hold a festival in the fall of 2021. Thank you for your support - past, present, and future.
